Information Lite Sky uses
Lite Sky can use your device’s current location only after you request current-location weather and grant When In Use permission. The coordinates are used to request a local forecast through Apple WeatherKit. Current location is optional; you can deny or revoke access and search for a city instead.
City searches and weather requests are handled through Apple services. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s own notices and terms. Lite Sky does not operate a server that receives these requests.
Extra icon packs are images downloaded from this website. No personal data is sent: the requests carry no account, location, or device identifier.
Information stored on your device
Saved cities, the last location you viewed (which can be your current location), unit preferences, custom-day hours, and a short-lived weather cache are stored on your device so the app can reopen where you left off. The cache improves availability and is not intended as a long-term weather archive. Version 1 has no Lite Sky account, developer-operated backend, advertising, analytics SDK, cross-app tracking, or user profiling.
Retention, deletion, and choices
- Remove individual saved cities in the Locations screen.
- Turn current-location access off in iOS Settings.
- Delete Lite Sky to remove its local app container, settings, and cache according to iOS behavior.
Because version 1 has no developer account or backend, the developer has no server-side Lite Sky account record to retrieve or delete.
Children
Lite Sky is a general weather utility and is not presented as a Kids Category app. The developer does not knowingly operate a system for collecting children’s personal information.
Policy changes
If Lite Sky’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated. The effective date above identifies this revision.
